1861--Wyatt Earp's older brothers join in the side of the Union for the civil war. It is said that Wyatt Earp made several attempts himself to join the Union.
1865--Wyatt Earp's brothers come home from the Civil War. Wyatt helps his brother, Virgil, as a stagecoach driver.
1866--Wyatt Earp explores the west while hauling freight to towns in Arizona and California.
1868--Wyatt Earp gets a job grading track at a railroad company in Wyoming. During this time he learns to boxing and gambling.
1869--Wyatt Earp rejoins his family in Lamar, Missouri. His father, Nicholas Earp, retires from being the town's constable. Wyatt takes up the position.
1870--Wyatt Earp marries Urilla Sutherland, who dies within the year. The cause of her death is unknown. Wyatt Earp sold his house he had bought only two months earlier.
1871--Wyatt Earp is accused of stealing a horse in Van Buren, Arkansas. He avoided punishment by fleeing Arkansas.

1876--Wyatt Earp and his former prostitute turned wife, Mattie Blaylock, move to Dodge City, Kansas. There Wyatt Earp becomes the town marshal.
1879--Wyatt Earp and his wife Mattie move to Tombstone, Arizona after hearing that his brother Virgil struck silver there. He's met by his other brother, Morgan, and good friend Doc Holiday and his wife. The group is too late to profit from the silver strike, and Wyatt Earp resumes the role of town marshal in Tombstone.
March, 1881--Wyatt Earp and a posse of lawmen go after a group of cowboys who robbed and killed a stagecoach driver. Wyatt and his men are successful in finding and arresting only one of the men.

October 25, 1881--Ike Clanton, over paranoid, spends the night in Tombstone, Arizona, drinking heavily and making threats against the Earp clan.
October 26, 1881--Tensions between the Earp clan and the cowboys explode in the battle at the O.K. Corral. On the Earp's side: Wyatt Earp, Morgan Earp, Virgil Earp, and Doc Holiday. On the cowboys: Ike Clanton, Billy Clanton, Frank McLaury, and Tom McLaury.

December 28, 1881--The feud continues between the cowboys and the Earps. Virgil Earp is shot while walking into a saloon in Tombstone. This wound cripples his arm for life. The name of the shooter is still unknown, but is believed to be one of the cowboys.

March 18, 1882--The feud keeps going as Wyatt and Morgan are cornered by some cowboys in a saloon. Wyatt escapes, but Morgan is killed.
1882--Wyatt Earp leaves Tombstone to join his brother Virgil in San Francisco. He meets up with an old acquaintance, Josephine Marcus, and are together until Wyatt's death.
1884--Wyatt and Josephine roam the West looking for gold and betting horse races. Wyatt acts as temporary law enforcement at times, but never holds a steady job.
1888--Wyatt and Josephine spend time in San Diego. At this time Wyatt referees, gambles, and bets on horse races.
1893--Wyatt and Josephine return to San Francisco. Wyatt holds a job as a capitalist.
1897--Wyatt and Josephine pursue the gold rush to Nome, Alaska. There they own a saloon.
1901--Wyatt and Josephine move to Los Angeles. There Wyatt meets many Hollywood actors and becomes an adviser for silent Western films.
1920s--Wyatt Earp is Deputy Sheriff of San Bernardino County, California.
January 13, 1929--Wyatt Earp dies in Los Angeles, California at the age of 80.
